Why doesn't that say "Horse Trainer"? Well, language is important, and I don't believe in the one way flow of information. For horses and their humans to have the close, trusting relationship everyone dreams of, the people need to approach the horse as a someone, not a something.

I have been enthralled by horses my entire life, my parents have always said my third word was horse. Watching them in the field is something I will never get tired of. But beyond that, my background is in French Classical Dressage with a side of natural horsemanship. I have worked with Jean Claude Racinet, Henri Gerard Bouzar, David O'Connor, Rupert Campbell Black, as well as Harry Whitney.

As they say in the public service announcement, "Reading is fundamental" and I have taken that to heart. With 500 books on horses and their training in my personal collection, as well as countless others I have read from the library, I have seen how faceted the study of horsemanship is. Looking through the eyes of many great trainers, from dressage, to western, to natural horsemanship, side-saddle, and eventing, gives me many lenses for seeing the situation clearly.
